TWO-HOUR ASBESTOS AWARENESS

The purpose of this class is to provide an introduction to asbestos issues. This class is not designed to make you an asbestos abatement (removal, encapsulate, enclosure) worker. This asbestos awareness program is part of a school district’s Asbestos Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Program, when there is asbestos present in a facility. The asbestos O&M and Management Plan was developed to manage the asbestos containing materials (ACM) identified in each affected school building and keep the material from becoming a health and safety problem.
